I earned my Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics from the University of Arizona, and in October 2009 I graduated with my Master of Science degree in optics and photonics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly Universität Karlsruhe) and the Karlsruhe School of Optics and Photonics (KSOP). I started my PhD studies in physics in the group of Theodor W. Hänsch at the Max Planck Institut für Quantenoptik and LMU München in November 2009, where my research is in the entanglement of ultracold atoms on an atom chip.
