Currently I am working in a project where we aim to coherently couple the motion of ultra cold atoms in an optical lattice to the vibrational motion of a mechanical membrane. (see Ultracold atoms coupled to mechanical resonators)

I started in the Munich atom chip group in April 2009. Previously I have been working with a permanent magnet atom chip project in the Optics Group of M. Kaivola at Helsinki University of Technology.
